This Spanish wedding took place last year, but has been doing the rounds as this week marks the first anniversary for the couple for a wedding ceremony that made headlines around the world.
Being a Barcelona fan, the groom Marcos has a special affinity with the Champions League competition given the success of the Catalans in Europe in recent times, and his bride-to-be decided to mark the occasion by getting the choir to play and sing the iconic anthem.
Marcos is clearly pleasantly surprised, but his wife obviously knew the way to her husband’s heart. Neus, the woman in question, will probably be the bane of every woman planning a wedding with a husband-to-be who is a football fanatic, as the idea is sure to spark off similar ideas for others.
It’s been a good few weeks for Marcos, he has survived the first year of marriage and Barca are still in the competition when it looked a little ropey after the 2-0 first-leg defeat to AC Milan in the last 16.
