Police in Germany have arrested Dereck Chisora following a bloody spat with fellow British boxer David Haye during a post-match interview in Munich.

Earlier this morning we brought you the video of the bloody brawl in question. You can check it out here. We have just learned, that the authorities in Germany have detained Chisora and his trainer Don Charles for questioning over the alleged assault.

However, a spokesman for the Munich police force said they were still trying to track down David Haye to get his side of the story. Although, with such clear video evidence, we don’t think they’ll have to ask too many questions to figure out that someone took things a bit too far.

A Munich police spokesman said (in your best German accent please), “Police picked up Mr Chisora at the airport at approximately 10.30am and are bringing him in for the investigation. They also picked up Mr Chisora’s trainer for questioning.

“The police went to the hotel to speak to them but we had been informed they had just checked out. At present we do not know where Mr Haye is. We are currently looking for him. He was not at the hotel this morning and we have not seen him at the airport.”

If you haven’t already seen the video check it out here and make your mind up as to who is at fault. Be warned, it get’s pretty violent.

[UPDATE] Chisora and Charles have been released from police custody without charge.
