Cage fighting teen model Chloe Adcock has revealed how she took up MMA five years ago so she could fend off bullies who targeted her because they reckoned she was ugly.
However, model scouts decided her face was good for stuff other than being pummelled and has since been signed up by two agencies.
“I got spotted during the competition and asked to model for MTV – which is where I got signed up with an agency,” said the multi-talented British teenager, who can both fight and look nice.
Her meddlesome grandmother, who thought she should try something more feminine than cage fighting, has been doing her bit for the girl’s modelling career and has started entering her into competitions behind her back.
“She entered me into the Miss British Isles competition without me knowing” explained Chloe. “I was amazed when I won my local heat and was crowned Miss Staffordshire in 2010.”
The 16-year-old, who has been training in MMA for the past five years, is also now a Miss Teen Earth Girl UK finalist.
However, Chloe is clear on her future path: “If I ever had to choose between them, I’d have to stick with my cage fighting.”
