It’s that time of the week again – a chance to win a Powerade hydration kit for you and your team.

We’re creatures of habit here in JOE Towers and as a result, this competition follows the format of its predecessors.

We’re simply asking you to guess the minute of the first try in Ireland’s quarter-final clash with Wales this weekend and to email us at givemestuff@joe.ie with these three nuggets of information:

1. Your guess

2. Your name

3. Your club

Most of the entries for last week edged on the optimistic side and if Tommy Bowe’s effort was allowed to stand as it should have been, then we would have had one in the first half. As it turned out, the first try of the game didn’t arrive until Brian O’Driscoll’s try in the 47th minute.

To be perfectly frank, none of your predictions came close and as a result the winner of the Powerade Hydration Kit is Declan McCarthy, who quite incorrectly predicted that the first try would arrive in the 19th minute.

Thanks to Declan’s good fortune, the under-13s of Fermoy RFC will be the ones quenching their thirst with our supply of Powerade goodies as they seek to follow in the footsteps of former clubman Mike Ross, who is having a storming World Cup in the Land of the Long White Cloud. Congratulations lads!

For the rest of you, it’s back to the drawing board and Ireland-Wales. So what’ll it be? Send us your guesses, and why not spread the word to everyone in your club? You never know, one of those nifty Powerade packs could have your club’s name on it.

Don’t forget to check back here next Monday when we’ll be announcing the winner.

Best of luck!
