Love him or hate him, there’s no denying Conor McGregor can be a class act.
JOE reader Ryan Kennedy has told us about the time, after he had dislocated his shoulder, he heard a knock on the door to find Conor McGregor outside to cheer him up.
Ryan’s dad had been working as McGregor’s driver in Dublin and when the UFC star, who takes on Chad Mendes in the early hours of this Sunday morning, found out that Ryan had suffered a bad injury he decided to make a pit-stop.
“This chap is a pure legend believe me,” says Ryan.
“My dad was his driver for a week when he came back to Ireland after slapping the head off Dustin Poirer.
“My dad told Conor I was at home with a dislocated shoulder and he came to my house just to cheer me up and have a bit of craic.”
