Battlezone have announced details of their card for its sixth MMA event, Battlezone 6 in the Regency Hotel, Swords Road in Dublin and it looks to be a cracker.
That should be no surprise to keen observers of the Irish mixed martial arts scene who have seen the promotion grow into one of the top two organisations in the country with Cage Contender.
The last five events were sellouts and this Saturday looks like it will be too with Welterweight Philip “The Honeybadger” Mulpeter returning to top the bill following his victory against John Donnelly for the Battlezone strap in a fight of the year contender back in March.
Mulpeter makes his first title defence on this card against Richie Gorey of Cork on this card.
Battlezone 6 will also see the beginning of an international series. Four fighters have been handpicked to take to represent Ireland against ‘the old enemy’, England, across a number of weight classes.

The event is being held in the Regency Hotel, Swords Road, Dublin. Tickets start from €30.
