The Corkman takes over from Anthony Daly…

Dublin have confirmed that Ger Cunningham is their new senior hurling manager, they tweeted the news earlier this evening.

Cunningham has been named as the replacement for Anthony Daly who left this summer after six years in charge of the Dubs.

Four-time All Star goalkeeper Cunningham has previous intercounty coaching experience with Limerick and Cork and his training methods were highly rated on Leeside during his stint alongside Jimmy Barry Murphy in ’12 and ’13.

He’s believed to have fought off competition from the likes of John Allen and Nicky English and has signed on for three years.
