FEELING GRAND: Here’s our attempt to turn €10 into over a €1,000 with a Premier League fourfold

JOE

Let’s hope this bet is more of a golden goose than a Christmas turkey.

Each weekend we try to turn a measly tenner into a gargantuan grand with a Premier League fourfold.

We’ve had some success too, although recent predictions have gone down worse than a bad Christmas trifle.

Here’s to hoping this week’s fourfold spreads a little bit more festive cheer.

Stoke v Manchester Utd, Draw 21/10

United are without a win in six games and won’t find it easy against Sparky Hughes’ Stoke at the Britannia. Bojan and company mightn’t have enough to defeat the Red Devils, so a point apiece seems the most likely outcome.

Bournemouth v Crystal Palace, Crystal Palace 2/1 *-

The Cherries have won their last three games. Palace have won three of their last four. And the fact I’ve been able to write both of those sentences without lying shows just how crazy the Premier League has been this season.

Palace’s wide players strike fear into most defenses. This coupled with Yohan Cabaye’s ability to rule a game should see the points go to the London side.

Chelsea v Watford, Draw 16/5

Historically, The Hornets haven’t enjoyed visiting The Bridge, having lost their last four visits by an aggregate score of 16-0.

However, Watford have proved that tradition counts for very little this season and we expect them to grab a point from a stadium that can be as hostile to the home players as the away ones.

Liverpool v Leicester, Both teams to score and Liverpool to win 12/5

Right, we’re calling it. This Leicester bubble is going to burst today. It’s as inevitable as Stephen’s Day wind or the fact you (whoever is reading this) got either socks or deodorant as a Christmas present this year.

Liverpool are short in defense, so we expect goals, but ultimately we think the home side will come out on top.

A tenner on this could bring in €1,328.04. With that sort of money, you could pass on the turkey leftovers and treat the family to a nice post Stephen’s Day meal… we did say ‘could.’
