The Premier League’s midweek fixtures were a little crazy, weren’t they?
Not that we’re complaining.
Another round of games as batshit as Tuesday and Wednesday’s would be more than welcome.
Hopefully we can even carve out a winner. So without further ado.
Chelsea v Everton, Draw 13/5
Both sides drew during the week and look closely matched on paper. The Toffees were incredibly lucky to get away with a point against Man City while Chelsea’s game against West Brom demonstrated plenty of the good, but a whole heap of the bad that Gus Hiddink has to deal with. We see this one finishing as a stalemate.
Newcastle v West Ham, West Ham 15/8
Newcastle did well to claim a point against Manchester United during the week, but when you’re conceding three against a side that’s not famed for their attacking prowess, you know you have a problem. Payet came back into The Hammers starting line-up midweek and he was incredible. Putting him with an already potent attack suggests it could be a bad day for The Magpies.
Aston Villa v Leicester, Aston Villa 5/2
Villa’s long overdue win during the week will have given the side renewed hope that they can stay in the Premier League. We’re backing them to shock high-flyers Leicester as we reckon The Foxes may go into this game slightly complacent.
Liverpool v Manchester Utd, Draw 9/4
What a midweek it was for both of these sides; entertainment to the point of destruction. We’re backing another draw for the pair of fallen giants.
A tenner on this fourfold could win you €1,177. That would be a pretty handy start to the New Year.
