The Premier League is back and with it comes JOE’s attempt to turn a measly €10 into over €1,000.
We’re due a good win and we’ve a feeling this week could be our week. If our bet does come in, we have every intention of whipping out the champagne and doing a little jig.
So, without further ado, here are our selections for this weekend:
Manchester United v Sunderland, Man United -1, 20/21
United have been getting a bit of a bashing from us media folk lately, but let’s just look at the facts: only Chelsea have a better home record than United in the Premier League.
Meanwhile Sunderland have only won once since Christmas Day.
Seems pretty clear cut to us.
Newcastle v Aston Villa, Draw, 12/5
Newcastle have only won one game in their last seven. All in all, they’ve been pretty woeful since Alan Pardew left for Crystal Palace.
Villa are useless as well so we reckon this one has draw written all over it.
Arsenal v Everton, Santi Cazorla to score first, 8/1
Put Arsenal’s typical Champions League capitulation to one side for a second and you’ll notice they’ve actually been pretty good in the league lately.
Cazorla has probably been their best player too. He has been involved in six goals in his last five Premier League games (three goals, three assists). Not bad… not bad at all.
Liverpool v Manchester City, Manchester City to win, 13/10
Both suffered defeats in Europe during the week. However, Liverpool had to go through an extra 30 minutes and the emotional toil that goes along with losing a penalty shoot out.
We really think this one belongs to City.
A €10 bet could bring in over €1,300 here. Now, wouldn’t that be nice.
