Leo McLoone’s goal proved the difference as Donegal ran out 1-11 to 0-11 winners.

Derry had the lead at the interval, 0-6 to 0-4, thanks mainly to two scores apiece from Emmet Bradley and Mark Lynch.

However, once Donegal stepped up the intensite and McLoone scored the only goal of the game, there was no way back for Derry and the 2012 All-Ireland champions will now face either Fermanagh or Antrim in the semi-finals.
