Gallery: Some great and some not so great pictures of Galway fans getting ready for Sunday

With only two days to go until All-Ireland Final Day, the hats, the flags, the maroon and white paint and the eh, fake donkeys are out in Galway.

It may have only been us thinking it, but there appeared to be a distinct lack of hype attached to the build-up to the All-Ireland Final this week.

Whether it was because there has been such a buzz attached to the football final or because the Irish soccer team are back in action this weekend we’re not sure, but it seemed to lack the excitement of previous years.

Try telling them it’s not a big deal in Galway though. They haven’t been in a final since 2005 and haven’t won the Liam McCarthy since 1988 so they’re going to make the most of their big day and the build-up has started in earnest today, with many fans starting out early on their Croker odyssey.

The gallery above features a few snippets of how Galway supporters are embracing the hype and no offence to the artist in question, the worst painting of a slogan on a wall you’ll ever see (you’ll know it when you see it).
