It happened in Hawaii on Friday night.
Golfer Robert Allenby has described how he was robbed, kidnapped and dumped in a park after missing the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii on Friday.
Allenby was at a wine bar with a friend of his when, the next thing he knew, he was waking up in a park six and a half miles away with none of his possessions.
A homeless woman found him and he was then helped back to his hotel by a retired military man.
The incident is currently being investigated as a second degree robbery.
“I didn’t think I was going to survive this one,” the Australian told the Associated Press.
“I was separated from my friend (Anthony Puntoriero) in the bar after we had paid the tab at 10:48 p.m., and he went to the bathroom and next thing you know I’m being dumped in a park miles away.
“I only know this part because a homeless woman found me and told me she saw a few guys pull up and throw me out of the car. That is where I got the scrapes above my eye from the sidewalk.”
