One unlucky burglar picked the wrong guy to stick up in Chicago at the weekend, and got his ass handed to him.
Anthony Miranda was just your average criminal in Chicago, looking for a car to hold up and rob. He approached a car and after the old ‘have you got a light’ trick he pulled a gun and demanded some money.
The ‘victim’ handed over some cash but Miranda got greedy and wanted the car and asked the man to get out of the car. This was his big mistake.
According to Chicago police office John Mirabelli: “At some point, Miranda’s attention was diverted and the victim was able to grab control of the gun and the two wrestled. During the fight, Miranda accidentally discharged his gun, shooting himself in the ankle.”
When police arrived the man had Miranda pinned down and the would-be thief had a surprising amount of bruising around the face. The fighter told police he was UFC champion before leaving them to deal with the thief.
We can only speculate on what happened but we suspect that Miranda endured a very fast and furious beating. He is now in jail awaiting trial for armed robbery but he is probably happy to be locked safely away from the mystery mixed martial arts expert.
