Here are the Premier League fixtures that will be broadcast live in August and September

Good news for Manchester United fans.

Euro 2016 is nearly over, but the good news is that football fans will have just over a month to wait until the return of the Premier League on August 13.

The Premier League today released details of the live fixtures that will be broadcast in the opening two months of the season and it’s good news for Manchester United fans, with six of the Red Devils’ games scheduled for Sky Sports and BT Sport.

For the second season in a row, that will include a Friday night fixture, with Sky Sports showing live coverage of United’s clash with Southampton on August 19.

Champions Leicester City’s meeting with Hull City kicks off the live coverage in the early kick-off on the opening day, while other standout fixtures from August and September include Arsenal v Liverpool on August 14, the Manchester derby on September 10 and Chelsea’s meeting with Liverpool on Friday, September 16.

*this fixture was scheduled for 11 March 2017 but the matches between Liverpool and Burnley have been reversed following an agreement between the two clubs. Liverpool v Burnley will take place on Sunday 12 March 2017 (subject to FA Cup participations or broadcast selections).
