Ireland are seeing out 2016 in style.
After a historic victory over the All Blacks just weeks ago in Chicago, Ireland have seen off Australia on home soil, claiming a 27-24 victory over the Wallabies.
Paddy Jackson was on great form, converting tries from Iain Henderson, Garry Ringrose and Keith Earls as Ireland delivered a consistent performance across the 80 minutes.
A try from Sefanaia Naivalu clawed the Aussies back into it but Keith Earls converted try 15 minutes from time saw Ireland close out the game with a three point lead.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the tough win:

Should have rather watched the #IREvAus. @CJStander seems to be the only South African having a good rugby season #SSRugby
