The ball looks like it’s in Dana White’s court.
After all the furor following Conor McGregor’s decision to retire and his removal from the UFC 200 card, it seems that everything can be boiled down to two simple sentences ” I am paid to fight. I am not yet paid to promote”.
This being Conor McGregor though, there’s a lot more to it than just that!
Press junkets, random TV hosts in Connecticut, $10m dollars to promote UFC 200, a roster full of bums, dancing monkeys and an apparent tug-of-war with Dana White were all prominent.
Naturally McGregor’s statement sent the Twittersphere into overdrive. Some agreed with his views while others didn’t.
Ur call now. You are the customers. What do you want? Press conferences or fights? Make some noise because we're ready to do the damn thing!
