Some cracking match-ups here.
And breathe…
The World Cup group stages are finally finished. We saw some cracking games, most notably Portugal vs Spain’s 3-3 which feels like a lifetime ago at this stage.
We had some amazing goals: Ronaldo’s free-kick, Messi’s moment of magic, Xhaka’s belter, and that’s just to name a few.
To be honest, if the World Cup stopped tomorrow we’d have a fairly healthy ‘goal of the tournament’ from the group stages alone.
But the World Cup doesn’t stop tomorrow, (well actually, it does, but only for one day).
We’ve got loads more football coming our way, starting with the round of 16 on Saturday.
And in case you’re struggling to keep with all of these confusing groups, we’re here to let you know exactly who’s playing who in the next round.
Here’s a list of all of the games:
Portugal vs Uruguay
Spain vs Russia
France vs Argentina
Croatia vs Denmark
Brazil vs Mexico
Switzerland vs Sweden
Belgium vs Japan
England vs Colombia
The first of the lot is France vs Argentina on Saturday at 3pm, and that might just be the best of the lot.
We can’t wait.
