Iker Casillas has posted a bizarre video of all of his biggest mistakes in support of Loris Karius

This is strange, but fair play to him all the same.

Loris Karius has been in the headlines again this week.

Following his two howlers in the Champions League Final, the keeper has been in the spotlight ever since.

And he didn’t strengthen his case last weekend.

In a pre-season game against Borussia Dortmund he dropped what looked like a routine catch, which led to a goal for the German side. Liverpool went on to lose the match 3-1.

Spanish legend Iker Casillas came out in support of his fellow keeper on Twitter, claiming that all of the best make mistakes too.

The tweet asks: “Will this attack on Loris Karius ever end? I’m talking about him like so many other goalkeepers. There are many more serious problems in the world. Fuck! Leave the kid alone… He’s also a person. As we all are!”

Since then he has posted the opposite of a video of all of the biggest clangers in his career, including one in a Champions League Final, like Karius himself.

He posted the video with the caption: “Learning from our mistakes will make us stronger.”

We’d like to say that this is the wildest thing that he has posted on social media lately, but last night he took to Twitter to claim that the moon landing never took place.

Translated from Spanish, the tweet said: “Next year it is 50 years (presumably) that the man stepped on the moon. I’m at a dinner party with friends… arguing about it. I raise the public gathering! Do you think he stepped on? Not me!”

Good on him…
