Timing is everything in a photograph and the snapper at Limerick’s clash with Sligo Rovers picked the perfect moment to capture a wonderfully picturesque scene at Thomond Park this evening.
There may not have been any goals in the Airtricity League clash between Limerick and Sligo Rovers this evening, but with the sun finally deciding to make an appearance for a change, there were a lot worse things people could have been doing than taking in the action at Thomond Park.
The weather made for ideal conditions for photographers present at the game and James Crombie of Inpho Photography managed to capture a wonderful shot of the teams making their way off the pitch at half-time just as night was beginning to fall over Limerick, with the players only visible in silhouette form against the backdrop of the stand at the far side of the pitch.

A photo like that almost puts the actual football in the shade.
