Ireland and England climb Fifa World Rankings

The Republic of Ireland have moved up three places in the FIFA World rankings, while England and Northern Ireland also rise.

The Republic of Ireland have moved up three places in the FIFA World rankings, while England and Northern Ireland also rise.

Trapatoni’s Ireland have benefitted from a solid start to their European Championship campaign, and have risen to number 33 in the World.

England have moved up a place to 6th, while Northern Ireland’s away victory against Slovenia has seen them rise eleven places to 45th.

They are now ahead of Scotland, who are in 47th, and Wales who are 84th.

France, meanwhile, have dropped to an all-time low of 27th.
