Ireland remain in 34th place in the FIFA World rankings after their Euro 2012 victory over Macedonia last month.
World Cup winners Spain and the team they defeated in the final, the Netherlands, continue to occupy the top two places, with Brazil, Germany and Argentina making up the top five.
England remain in sixth place, while Italy have moved up to ninth place after a seven month absence from the top ten.
Of the teams in Group B alongside Ireland in the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, Russia are currently ranked 18th, Slovakia are 27th, Armenia are 62nd, Macedonia are 85th and lowly Andorra are in 202nd.
