After three defeats on the trot in their World Cup warm up games so far, the Irish players are well aware of the need for a good display against England before making the trip to New Zealand.
With only days before the Ireland squad board a plane bound for the Land of the Long White Cloud, many an Irish supporter is beginning to fret about the displays of Declan Kidney’s men so far.
Three defeats on the bounce means that Ireland are frantically searching for form before their opener with USA on 11 September, but thankfully, there remains one more chance to ensure we head to the southern hemisphere on a winning note.
Ahead of Ireland’s clash with old rivals England at the Aviva Stadium this weekend, Jonathan Sexton, Jerry Flannery, Stephen Ferris and Tommy Bowe spoke of the experience of beating England in the Six Nations and the need for some momentum ahead of the big one in a couple of weeks time.
