The Ulsterman will be out of action for some time.
Some worrying news out of the Irish rugby camp today as the IRFU have confirmed that flanker Chris Henry has a blocked blood vessel in his brain.
Henry missed the wins over South Africa and Georgia because of an “unspecified illness” and medical opinion last week was that he was suffering with migraines but it’s turned out to be a lot more serious.
The IRFU released this statement on the matter today: “Tests have shown he suffered a temporary blockage of a small blood vessel in his brain. He is at home now and is well but needs further investigation and specialist opinion.”
He’ll obviously be out of action for a lengthy spell of time but Ireland and Ulster are confident he will make a return to rugby a few months down the line.
We wish Chris all the best in his recovery.
