Jamie Carragher has revealed the name of the worst ever player he lined up beside during his career at Anfield.
“Actually, I quite enjoyed playing against him as you could kick him then – can’t kick your own players,” Carragher said when referring to the one and only…
“The worst has to be El Hadji Diouf.”
The Senegalese international striker was signed by Gerard Houllier in 2002 but scored just three goals in 55 games before spells at Bolton, Blackburn, Sunderland, Leeds, Rangers and Doncaster Rovers.
Diouf poor form off the pitch was marked by disciplinary problems off it. He was banned for spitting at Celtic supporters in March 2003 and left the club permanently for the Trotters in 2005.
