It’s that time of the week again where we go to war with one of our readers, as well as Hayley O’Connor from Ladbrokes, to decide who actually knows the most soccer-y stuff about football.
OK, maybe it’s not war, but we cannot help being competitive.
Every week, we’ll be putting a shout out on Twitter for JOE readers to send us in their Premier League treble selections via the #LadbrokesTreble hashtag and every week, one lucky winner will be able to put someone else’s money where their mouth is. This week we’ve even increased the bet to €250.
It’s big money time.
So here are the selections:
JOE’s Selection
Aston Villa v Stoke, Villa to win 8/5
We’re backing Tim Sherwood’s gilet to provide a dead cat bounce affect on Villa for their game against Stoke.
Sunderland v West Brom, Draw 11/5
We reckon this will be a terrible game. But that bet wasn’t available so we’ve backed a draw.
Everton v Leicester, Everton to win 5/6
The Toffees had a great win in Europe during the week and we reckon they’ll carve out another victory here.
This comes in at a little over 14/1.
JOE Reader’s Selection
This week’s honour goes to David Kirk.
Ladbrokes’ Selection
Chelsea v Burnley, Chelsea to win 2/11
This is probably the banker of the weekend.
Crystal Palace v Arsenal, Arsenal to win 4/5
If Arsenal aren’t winning these games, there is no place for them in the top four.
Everton v Leicester, Everton to win 5/6
I expect them to build on their European win midweek.
This comes to approximately 5/2.
So who’ll win this week?
