It’s that time of the week again – our countdown of the best five goals we’ve seen from around the world over the last few days.

5. Claudio Marchisio (Juventus v AC Milan)

The atmosphere in the newly-opened Juventus Stadium was incredible last night as the Bianconeri romped to a stunning 2-0 victory over Serie A champions AC Milan.

To quote a Sky Italia commentator, Antonio Conte’s men played like they were “possessed” but their hard work paid of when Claudio Marchisio hit his first goal of an eventual brace from excellent build-up work. Skip to 1.40 to check out the goal but be sure to watch the second, as it’s an absolute howler from Milan keeper Abbiati.

4. Mikel Gonzalez Martinez (Real Sociedad v Athletic Bilbao)

Yes, this is one week where a goal from within your own half only merits a fourth spot position. Sorry about that Mikel.

3. Pedro Leon (Malaga v Getafe)

Getafe’s loan signing from Real Madrid is starting to show his true quality since returning to play for his old side, as this long-range cracker of a goal attests to. It’s his first since he pulled a Getafe shirt back on but it surely won’t be the last.

2. Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal)

Gunners fans must be wondering why is it that Spurs players only seem to score once-in-a-career strikes against them. First Danny Rose, now Kyle Walker.

To be fair, the usually reliable Wojciech Szczesny was at fault for this one, although it was struck so sweetly that it was without argument, the Premier League goal of the weekend.

1. Eren Derdiyok (Bayer Leverkusen v VfL Wolfsburg)

You won’t see a better example of skill, control and sheer audacity than Bayer Leverkusen’s Swiss striker Eren Derdiyok’s incredible bicycle-kick in the Bundesliga this weekend.

After leaving a dazzled Wolfsburg defence in knots, the 23-year-old sets himself up for the overhead strike and celebrates afterwards as it wasn’t even that big of a deal.
