It’s that time of the week again – our countdown of the best five goals we’ve seen from around the world over the last few days.

5. Jordan Ibe (Wycombe Wanderers v Sheffield Wednesday)

A fantastic goal and a fantastic story; this mazy run and inspired finishing came from Jordan Ibe, who was booked afterwards for ‘over-celebrating’ when he ran to his family. Who can blame him though, as he’s only 15.

Yes, you read that right, the guy that scored the below goal was born in 1996. Jordan Ibe – remember the name.

4. Abdulrahman Alsanea (Al-Hilal v Al-Ahli)

In the battle of the two teams whose names sound astonishingly similar to one another, it was Al-Hilal’s Abdulrahman Alsanea who provided the crowning moment with a remarkable solo effort.

3. Riccardo Megglorini (Novara v Lecce)

Granted, this was actually a disallowed goal but we reckon it’s still worthy of our top five. In fact, any overhead kick of this quality will make it into our top five, no matter the circumstances. Skip to 0.42 for the strike.

2. Theo Walcott (Chelsea v Arsenal)

As we look back to one of the most astonishing games in Premier League history, we reckon that one of the biggest examples of how insane the Chelsea v Arsenal game got is that Walcott’s below game wasn’t the best in the entire game.

Perhaps the best goal of Walcott’s career, this had the pacy winger getting past no fewer than four Chelsea players and showing a dogged determination that many thought was absent from his game.

1. Juan Mata (Chelsea v Arsenal)

Although Gunners fans likely won’t care having beat Chelsea 5-3 at the weekend, the player with the finest striker in the game could’ve been playing in an Arsenal shirt just months ago.

While the club dilly-dallied over transfer fees while attempting to hang on Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea prised Mata from Valencia instead and his goal on Saturday was the finest of his Blues career thus far.
