Giovanni Trapattoni has named the Irish team to face Macedonia and it is exactly as expected.
The 72-year-old has selected the same eleven players that played together in training yesterday.
Sean St Ledger is suffering from a knee injury, so Darren O’Dea will take his place in the first XI.
There is no place for James McCarthy in the team, though Trapattoni has promised he will make an appearance at some stage.
Ciaran Clark doesn’t make the team at left-back or centre-back either – instead Huddersfield Town central-midfielder Kevin Kilbane has been selected.
The 34-year-old, who has played every competitive fixture for Ireland since 1999, will win his 109th cap on Saturday.
Ireland: Keiren Westwood, Kevin Foley, Richard Dunne, Darren O’Dea, Kevin Kilbane, Damien Duff, Darron Gibson, Glenn Whelan, Aiden McGeady, Robbie Keane, Kevin Doyle
