We might finally get come closure over the whole Lance Armstrong doping debate as the ex-7-time Tour de France winner gets set to break his silence on the Oprah show.
Lance Armstrong has been keeping fairly quiet as of late, especially since he was banned for life from competitive cycling by the International Cycling Union.
However, it was announced yesterday that the Texan is to take a seat on Oprah’s couch to tell all.
“Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career,” the Oprah Winfrey Network said in a statement.
According to reports from the New York Times at the weekend, Lance recently told anti-doping officials that he was considering admitting he took performance-enhancing drugs.
However, Armstrong’s lawyers are adamant that he never had such talks with anyone.
The show airs on the OWN on January 17, so we’ll have to wait and see what he has to say.
