One clever Done Deal user has tried to take advantage of Lance Armstrong’s misfortune in his attempts to sell a used bike in Roscommon.

Numerous Irish revellers took the opportunity to stick the boot into the disgraced cyclist by dressing up as Armstrong (with attached drug paraphernalia) for Halloween at the weekend and a Roscommon man has piled on even more misery with a pretty clever used bike ad on Done Deal.

He’s looking for a fairly hefty €5,000 for the bike, but it does come with a host of (unwashed) yellow jerseys and we thought that the ‘Goes very fast, faster depending on what gear you’re on’ line was a clever, if cheeky, touch.

Anyway, if the whole package is something you think you’d be interested in, you can contact the seller, one Chance Armstrong, using the details given in the ad here.

We don’t think he’ll manage to recoup the €5,000 for the bike somehow, but it was a worthy effort nonetheless; an act of deception that even Lance himself would be proud of.
