Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp pokes fun at Mignolet and a journalist with one great remark

He can laugh now

He can laugh now.

The entire football world seems to have fallen even more in love with Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp since he arrived at Anfield but I’ve no doubt that the wonderfully eccentric German can be a scary man also.

Yes, he gives charming interviews with young Liverpool fans but I fully expect to see him go absolutely ape-s**t very soon. It’s likely that Klopp was seeing red after his goalkeeper Simon Mignolet’s latest gaffe in the recent match against Bordeaux.

The Belgian ‘keeper decided to hold onto the ball for more than 20 seconds before kicking it out of his hands, resulting in an indirect free-kick being awarded to the French side, from which they scored the opening goal.

Liverpool rallied though thanks to a James Milner penalty and a wonderful strike form Christian Benteke as they secured their place in the next round, so the German was a happy man at the full-time whistle.

Klopp was asked though about this unusual foul by his ‘keeper in the post-match press conference by a stuttering journalist and Tony Barrett of The Times was on hand to report the German’s amazing reply.

Here’s the answer in full, what a guy.
