They might be struggling to recapture former glories, but Liverpool v Arsenal is still a fixture that gets the pulses racing. Paddy Power have a few bets that might make it even more interesting.
This weekend we’re treated to another big match at Anfield with Liverpool entertaining Arsenal. Or, some might say it would be if it was 2002 but this is a battle of a fallen giant against a past glory as the two teams battle it out for what looks like being fourth place.
Paddy Power has betting on who will finish higher in the league, whether both or neither will make it into the Top Four and which of Liverpool and Arsenal will win in the Premier League first. Check out the odds for all of the above here.
This weekend also sees Man City take on QPR a repeat of last season’s drama filled finale and we’re betting on whether City will score again in injury time. Whether they do or not there will be sadly no repeat of the ‘Aguerooooooo’ commentary that greeted their championship-clinching goal last season, with the Argentine still on the sidelines after picking up an injury on the opening day against Southampton.
Apart from the traditional markets such as all the weekend’s games, the eventual Premier League winners, top scorer and relegation fodder, other specials this weekend include betting on which team will be the last to remain unbeaten and when will Arsenal score. We’re also betting on Man United to change their jerseys at Southampton following the infamous incident at The Dell 16 years ago.
United fans will at least be thankful that they won’t have to wear that shiny, tartan-patterned home kit this weekend, even though they’ll have to get used to it for the rest of this season at least.
