Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen takes on three-time world champion John Higgins in the UK Championship semi-final today.
Allen secured his place in the last four with a hard-fought 9-7 victory over Stuart Bingham.
Higgins, who has returned to game after a six-month ban for breaching betting rules, won by the same margin in his quarter-final encounter against fellow Scot Stephen Maguire.
In the other semi-final, Shaun Murphy will play Mark Williams.
