Irish boss Martin O’Neill has named his final 27 man squad for the upcoming Euro ’16 qualifier away to Scotland and the friendly against the USA in Dublin.
The most notable absentees are Marc Wilson who misses out due to a torn hamstring sustained in Stoke’s win over Tottenham while Glenn Whelan and Kieren Westwood have been unable to prove their fitness in time.
There are first international call-ups for Derby defender Cyrus Christie and Ipswich striker David McGoldrick as Ireland go in search of a valuable three points on the road to Euro ’16.
James McCarthy is a serious injury doubt also and will be monitored s the FAI doctors in the build up to the match.
