There were wins for the Kingdom, the Rebel County, the Lilywhites and the Oriel County in the Allianz National Football League.

Supersub Donncha O’Connor contributed 2-03 to his team’s cause, as Cork ran out six-point winners over Armagh at Pairc Ui Chaoimh and earned a place in the Division 1 final.

Eleven points from the boot of Paul Finlay helped Monaghan to a two-point victory over Mayo in Iniskeen, though it wasn’t enough to save the Oriel County from relegation.

Goals from Alan Brogan and Johnny Duane helped Dublin to a draw, to maintain their unbeaten status in the league, and relegate Galway.

Meanwhile, Kerry defeated Down in Killarney, and Sligo were relegated to Division 3 after losing to Kildare.
