Ronan O’Gara and Stephen Ferris will line out for Munster and Ulster respectively this weekend to prove their fitness while Denis Hurley has been called into the Ireland squad.
By Declan Whooley
The experienced duo will be eager to prove to Declan Kidney that they are fit and ready to go ahead of the clash with South Africa on Saturday week.
Kidney has already lost the services of Brian O’Driscoll and Rory Best and will hope to see both players get some match practice in the RaboDirect PRO12 tomorrow night as Ulster entertain Edinburgh at Ravenhill while Munster travel to Cardiff to take on the Blues.
Munster full-back Denis Hurley has been added to the squad as cover for O’Driscoll. He joined up with the squad yesterday and has not played for Ireland since featuring against the US Eagles in 2009.
