Pat Fenlon linked with Scottish switch again

Maybe it will be second time lucky for Pat Fenlon as he once again looks to leave Bohemians for a job in the Scotland.

Maybe it will be second time lucky for Pat Fenlon as he once again looks to leave Bohemians for a job in the Scotland.

The Gypsies manager is now the favourite to take over at Hibernian, and it is understood that this time the board at Dalymount will not stand in his way.

In 2010, Fenlon was believed to be on the verge of taking the reins at Dundee United but the the two clubs could not agree a compensation deal.

Bohs would obviously like him to stay but with their parlous financial situation, there is little they can do if a decent offer comes in.

One rival Fenlon has for the Hibs hotseat is also based in Dublin. Shamrock Rovers boss Michael O’Neill is also believed to be in the frame for a switch to the Edinburgh club. The Hoops have just two games left in the Europa League this season but O’Neill has yet to sign a new deal.

However, if he does leave the league champions, it is expected it would be for the vacant job as Northern Ireland boss, a position O’Neill described as “very attractive”.

But other names in the frame for that gig include O’Neill’s current assistant Jim Magilton and Iain Dowie.
