Baller.
It’s impossible to dislike Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann because the Frenchman has almost reinvented the attacking role for modern footballers because he combines a devastating eye for goal with an absolutely ferocious work ethic.
Last season, Griezmann was the chief architect of Atleti’s march to the Champions League final and the striker continued his blistering form into Euro 2016 where he finished top scorer after netting six goals, two of them memorably coming against Ireland in Lyon.
Diego Simeone could probably name his price for Griezmann but after signing a new contract with the club, he’s not getting itchy feet to leave the Vicente Calderon.
Speaking of his feet, the striker’s choice of footwear was earning plenty of plaudits online after he ignored the more traditional suit and brogue approach.
Hey, when you’re as good as Antoine Griezmann, you can wear whatever the hell you like.
He definitely has that certain je ne sais quoi.
And Griezmann didn't win the award because his trousers are too short and those shoes are ugly. pic.twitter.com/cv3udVF0zq
