Pundits and analysts alike have bemoaned in recent years the trend that has seen the art of hig-fielding on the wane given a change in tactics and kick-out strategies, but often the most spectacular pictures from games are a couple of players taking to the skies to battle it out to win possession.

Moorefield and Sarsfields met today in the county decider in Kildare, with Moorefield claiming a seventh title and their fifth since the turn of the millennium in a 2-14 to 0-13 victory over Dermot Earley’s side.

This picture shows Moorefield’s James Lonergan and his opponent Declan McKenna with their sights set firmly on the ball during the contest.
