Few pictures in the GAA capture the imagination better than an aerial duel and the Kildare County Final today produced one such image.
Pundits and analysts alike have bemoaned in recent years the trend that has seen the art of hig-fielding on the wane given a change in tactics and kick-out strategies, but often the most spectacular pictures from games are a couple of players taking to the skies to battle it out to win possession.
Moorefield and Sarsfields met today in the county decider in Kildare, with Moorefield claiming a seventh title and their fifth since the turn of the millennium in a 2-14 to 0-13 victory over Dermot Earley’s side.
