PIC: Club hurler’s hand gets impaled by a helmet [Graphic content]

He's only getting it removed this morning

Tony Cuddihy

Conor Ryan. Hardy sort.

Conor is a hurler for Tipperary club side Clonakenny. Playing against Newcestown on Sunday in the Munster Intermediate semi-final, the helmet of an opposition player got impaled in Conor’s hand.

Kattie Dellaney sent us this via Padraig Ryan, and informs us that Conor won’t be having the helmet removed until he has an operation this morning.

Imagine sleeping with this thing attached to you. Once again, hardy sort. Good man Conor.
