Pic: Gary Neville plans on celebrating a very unique Liverpool milestone today

Paul Moore

There’s a session in Neville’s the Man Utd icons house.

In terms of league titles, there’s no doubting that Manchester United and Liverpool are England’s top two clubs.

It has been 25 years since Liverpool last won the league and despite a litany of trophies since then, the most notable being the 2005 Champions League, the title hasn’t returned to Anfield.

On this day in 1990 (28th April) the ‘Pool were last crowned champions of England for the 18th time and they’re still looking for number 19.

Gary Neville won eight Premier League trophies during his spell at Old Trafford and he didn’t miss the chance to remind Liverpool fans of his ‘special’ plans for today with this reply to The Times journalist Oliver Kay.
