Tweeted by the Calgary Stampeders today, this picture shows Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson from 1995, when he was trying to make it in the CFL, the Canadian version of the NFL.
Johnson had a successful time in the College game, playing for the University of Miami, helping them to a National Championship in 1991. When he finished his college career in 1995, he was passed over by the NFL but he did have a brief stint north of the border playing the game.
Johnson lasted two months in the CFL before he was cut but he managed to make a pretty good career for himself in the ring and on the screen.
