Boro Celtic goalkeeper Alan Manning is known as ‘Cotton Buds’ as he’s notorious for getting injured. As John Walsh, who sent us in this image, says: “He’s liable to get injured in a room full of cotton buds.”
Anyway, paramedics were called after Alan twisted his ankle during a game. In this image, manager Jeff McGann shows his appreciation to the emergency services while his ‘keeper writhes in agony, but check out Alan’s ‘mate’ Brian Murtagh in the background.
