Didn’t you grow up as an Everton supporter Jamie?
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher did indeed grow up as a Toffees fan but spending your entire career playing for their city rivals is bound to have an effect and it is hard to think of too many players more associated with their club in the Premier League era than the former Reds defender was with Liverpool.
Carragher is and has been a red through and through for some time now and last night, he couldn’t resist a friendly dig at Everton fans after another disappointing result against Hull City.
2 defeats for Efc and Man city to come so not easy but vital they get back on track as they need to sell those half season tickets for Xmas.

Many were quick to remind Carragher that Roberto Martinez’s side didn’t actually lose against Hull City, but in any case, he soon clarified that he was joking, which can often be hard for more sensitive football fans on Twitter to understand…

Although it definitely cheesed off some Everton fans, there were many others who enjoyed Carragher’s good-natured jibe and Richard Keys most definitely would have approved of the most common responses to the tweet last night.
