PIC: Roy Keane, Martin O’Neill and Home and Away combine in cracking Irish flag for the Euros

Conor Heneghan

Strewth!

With a little over a month to go until kick-off, Irish soccer fans are beginning to get very excited about the Euros, particularly the ones who will be lucky enough to be in France.

They’ll be travelling in their droves and bringing all sorts of impressive paraphernalia with them, including flags that you’ll spot from a mile off, many of which have been sent our way in recent weeks.

Earlier this week you might have seen a Teresa Mannion-themed flag that was sent into us by Anne-Marie Davy, who is originally from Scotland but has been living in Galway for years and is a dyed-in-the-wool Irish football fan.

Sure, that was impressive, but Anne-Marie has managed to trump that effort with one she got as a birthday present for her husband.

The design was Anne-Marie’s idea and Flagman Ireland helped her bring it to fruition, with lyrics from one of the most famous TV theme tunes of all helping to explain the rather special relationship between Ireland manager Martin O’Neill and his assistant Roy Keane.

You’d have to go a long way to find a flag as impressive as this one, probably even as far as Yabbie Creek.

Cheers to Anne-Marie Davy for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, editorial@JOE.ie or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
