He better have pulled his weight on the pitch also.

Many people will tell you that the GAA Junior B division is the heartbeat of the GAA because it provides some absolutely brilliant, passionate and slightly mad moments also.

Croke Park might be where the best of the action takes place, but if you want to give a GAA newbie a brief glimpse of what hurling and football is all about, then here’s the place to go.

Inspiring texts, makeshift scoreboards and sing-songs are just the norm in this wonderful division but JOE reader Conor Slater has given us another reason to love Junior B.

This picture was taken at Clonmellon, Co. Westmeath yesterday after the challenge match between St. Paul’s GFC Clonmellon and Finea.

We love how Michael Tighe has managed to use his tractor as a means of transporting his gear bag. We’re told that before the game started Michael also parked his tractor next to an Audi A4.

This is class.
