Will this be the last time Louis Van Gaal selects the team?
Manchester United kick-off the full programme of St. Stephen’s Day Premier League fixtures when they travel to Stock City for a 12.45pm kick-off today.
Louis Van Gaal has been under serious pressure recently, with reports that he’s hanging onto his job by a thread, so this game is vital for the Dutchman.
This is the team he’s gone with…

And this is the bench…
United subs: Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, McNair, Varela, Pereira, Schneiderlin, Rooney #mufc

The big news is that captain Wayne Rooney is omitted from the starting XI, but with a host of games to be played at this time of year, including the match with Chelsea on December 28, this is probably just a case of squad rotation.
Either way, today is a massive game for Manchester United and the skipper isn’t playing.
