Ban the half-and-half scarf.
Nothing says ‘day tripper’ like a football fan who turns up to a game wearing the colours of both the teams on show.
It’s for that reason that anyone who feels any true connection to the game is disgusted on the most visceral level by the abomination that is the ‘half-and-half scarf’, especially ahead of a derby clash like Man United vs Man City.
Thankfully, small businesses are starting to take a stand against this practice. The Trafford Pub on Warwick Road near Old Trafford have banned the scarves ahead of today’s Manchester Derby and told anyone who’s got one to bin it if they want to get served.

Let’s hope this catches on.
