Who needs an open-top bus when you have a brave player and a steady driver?
Ballyporeen claimed a County Intermediate Championship in the Premier County and the celebrations we hear have been in full flow since.
They defeated Borrisokane on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-08, and they returned home with pride and the cup in safe hands as it was paraded through the village. And one player was again putting his body potentially on the line for his club as he sat atop a car at the front of the line as the local heroes showed off their new trophy.
We’re guessing the speed limit was obeyed and the brakes were only gently applied if needed.
